What is Geotrade?
Geotrade is a financial market intelligence app that connects breaking world news to your investment portfolio in real time. It shows you how geopolitical events, economic data, and market developments affect the stocks and sectors you own.
Is this financial advice?
No. Geotrade is an educational and informational tool only. Nothing in the app constitutes financial advice. Always consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions.
How do I add my portfolio holdings?
Go to Settings and find the Portfolio section. Enter your stock and ETF ticker symbols. Once added your morning brief will be personalized to show how events are specifically affecting your holdings.
How often does the news update?
Live events refresh every 30 minutes. Headlines are filtered to show only articles from the last 24 hours. The globe continent colors update automatically whenever new events are processed.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On the web go to your Account Settings and click Manage Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the billing period.
What does the globe show?
The globe shows live geopolitical and financial events mapped to their real-world locations. Red continents have high-risk active events. Orange indicates elevated risk. Green shows opportunity events like earnings beats or economic growth. Blue is neutral.
What is the Chain Effects tab?
Chain Effects shows the second-order market impacts of each event — how a single event cascades through the economy. For example an oil supply disruption does not just affect energy stocks directly. It also raises inflation, which pushes bond yields up, which pressures tech valuations. Chain Effects traces these connections.
What is the Timeline mode?
Timeline mode lets you replay major historical market events from 1990 to the present. You can see how events like the 2008 financial crisis, COVID-19, or the dot-com bubble unfolded and affected markets. It is designed as an educational tool for understanding market history.
Why is a continent red when nothing seems to be happening?
A continent turns red when it has two or more HIGH risk events in the current 24-hour news cycle. The color reflects the current news environment not a long-term assessment. Colors update every 30 minutes as new events arrive.
The globe is not loading on my device. What should I do?
The 3D globe requires WebGL support in your browser. Try: 1) Open the app in Chrome or Safari instead. 2) On desktop Chrome go to chrome://settings/system and enable Use hardware acceleration. 3) Restart your browser. 4) If the issue persists the app will show a 2D map view as a fallback.
How do I request a refund?
For web subscriptions contact us at support@geotrade.app within 7 days of your charge and we will process a refund.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data including your portfolio holdings within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.
